SUMAS FIRST NATION ADMINISTRATION OFFICE - GOVERNMENT OFFICE
Sumas First Nation
The (Sema:th) Sumas First Nation Chief and Council care deeply about keeping our community and employees safe during this unprecedented time. Our objective is to take every precaution necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and support the community members in doing so.
The Chief and Council ask all members to remain at home unless it is essential to go out for necessary groceries and supplies. Maintaining social distance and hand hygiene in public is vital. Upon returning home, we request members to sanitize the items they brought back. We suggest refraining from allowing outside visitors into the community at this time. The administration and health buildings are closed to the public.
As we continue to adapt to this ever-evolving situation, leadership and staff are finding dynamic new ways to assist and support members. From offering much-needed food parcels on reserve and support cheques to members off-reserve, the Nation is committed to being there for its people.
Everyone is feeling the impact of this crisis in very unique and personal ways. However, the community is coming together to support one another and stay connected, regardless of our physical distance.
The (Sema:th) Sumas First Nation is all in to protect our most valuable assets, You. Lets’emot. One heart. One mind.
